The sublime beauty of empyrean twilight

Like my facebook page please. Facebook is my main social networking site, so I'll be there more often. And I plan on deleting my flickr eventually, so if you want to keep in touch and follow my updates facebook is the place for that!

In the brief moments preceding daylight's end; before the sky becomes enveloped by desolate caliginosity, my melancholic heart beats with joy.

A beacon of hope shines in the city that never sleeps

A beacon of hope shines in the city that never sleeps

We live in an era of unprecedented despair, and in these arduous times anguish is ubiquitous. From environmental issues to the global financial crisis, it seems that every aspect of our lives is occupied by impossible conflicts and perpetual struggle. However, I do not think any problem we as a nation face today is as nearly as tragic as what we were forced to endure ten years ago. But we have come so far since that fateful day; we have risen so high from the ashes at Ground Zero, that I cannot look into the future without hope.

The original Twin Towers were my favorite buildings in the world, and ever since they came crumbling down the entire city was never the same for me. Even with the boisterous symphony of the streets crowded and pulsating with vibrant life, I am always embodied by a sense of desolation. Though the New York Skyline has been forever changed, I still can't wait to see this marvelous building when it is completed. It certainly has some tremendous concrete shoes to fill.

I know I'm a bit late with this, but stay tuned for my pictures from the 10th anniversary of 9/11. I have some spectacular shots from that night that I will be uploading soon.

Oh, and have a very happy Thanksgiving!

Summer has left me with the familiar burden of emptiness, so I would greet Autumn with bittersweet despair

It has been a while since I've uploaded anything to flickr, and for that I'm sorry. The past few months -- for many reasons -- haven't been exactly easy for me, and I have had little desire to network. But don't fret, In my flickr absence have been busy taking lots of photos.

This is a picture of my backyard, taken on October 2nd, the day I buried my sweet little frog Junior. I know a lot of people don't get this attached to amphibians, but his passing was absolutely devastating for me. He was a special friend since the moment he became mine. With the way he climbed up my fingers whenever I put them near him, and with the charming tune of his little songs -- he quickly made my sanctuary complete. My room will never be the same without him, and I will miss him for years to come. I may upload a photo of him on here soon so I can share him with all of you.

In other news, I have a new logo which I will be using to watermark my images from now on, and I have a facebook page for my photography which you should all check out. You can visit the page by clicking on the link at the top of the description on in the picture below.

Expect more photos this week, I have a lot of interesting work from the past few months to share.

Even though I haven't been shooting much as of late -- and I have been feeling a little uninspired -- there is a burning desire in me to take portraits. I have so many ideas for shooting bands, models, couples, families, pets; just about anything you can think of. I just can't wait until I book some clients and have some interesting shots to show all of you.

Here's a portrait of Peter, taken in some awesome ruins we found on our little trip to Palisades Interstate Park in Fort Lee New Jersey.
