Democratic National Convention 1980, New York

In 1980, the Association of American Railroads hosted press hospitality at the Democratic National Convention at Madison Square Garden in New York. Conrail media relations people, including me, were assigned as volunteer hosts at the press lounge, and I had an opportunity to spend about 45 minutes on the floor of the convention, thanks to a press credential borrowed from New Jersey Network.
