I don't like waiting. Who does? But we wait all our lives. And to kill time we make beautiful pictures of ourselves. I mean: you do that. Really beautiful and meaningful.

Very interesting! I like mick crop suggestion the best. In fact I may like even a little more bed and dresser, but that would minimize the ambiquities! Maybe a little lighter, but the that may just be the different screens.

I like the way you placed yourself between the two doors and left the minimum bedroom furniture in the shot.

No cropping, please, don't cut anything away. It's perfect the way it is. It's your unique vision, lu.

By itself an intriguing image, but the title sets the mind freely racing; who are you waiting for, and which door will they appear through.

I am a cropper. Don't know what the suggested crop was (can't see notes on my dumb old explorer at home), but I see a much more focused and powerful image if the floor is cropped off on the bottom (allowing you to grow out of the bottom of the image more elegantly) and on the right if the crop is before the stuff on the dresser (it is distracting and doesn't contribute to the meaning in my mind). I guess I look at it as not about your 'original' vision, but about editing an rough idea, just as a writer edits his or her manuscript after the original writing of it.

Lu!! OMG!! This photo is BRILLIANT!! Do you know who Cindy Sherman is? This photo is so much like one she did in her early works called 'film stills'. There is such a strong cinematic feel within the frame. Your look, longing, wondering, pausing, thinking is so powerful and bold. This is a double fave!!!

I agree with Kitty. But I already said how great this photo is.

I went to a Bettina Rheims exhibition a couple of days ago, here in Brussels. And some of her photo's reminded me of yours. The only difference was that her models had less clothes on :)

How wonderful. The room lends scale - a broader, open, high-ceiling, airy sense that I like very much. Certainly you, as subject, are somewhat diminished in size, but not in priority. I like the sense of spaciousness and I don't find it distracting - quite the contrary. You command the attention of the shot. You pulled this viewer in, and the rest provided mood, not distraction.

Crop this, crop that is a lot of crap. The picture would be absolutely boring like so many of the images on Flickr because the context, the scenery, the story is cropped out. Thanks goodness you leave the mirror in.It makes the picture unless viewers only want to see sexy women without any distractions. There are other groups for that,
