October Snow

Great Smoky Mountain National Park in October... wasn't expecting snow this past weekend. Several inches fell on the high peaks over Saturday and Sunday. This show is from Cades Cove and catches the snow and fall colors.

Sunday Brunch

A ruby throated hummingbird heads into the bee balm for Sunday brunch. Needless to say, this little guy wouldn't stop moving around and pose nicely for me, but I'm happy to have gotten this shot!

Tattered

A dragonfly with somewhat tattered wings rested on this purple water plant. The yellow in the background is a water lily. This is probably the best dragonfly shot I've ever gotten, so I'm really pleased. I only wish (for my sake and the bugs!) that the wings would have been in better shape.

End of Days

The lake near my house at sunset. This is a 30 second exposure which allowed the water to smooth out like this. I am so happy with the colors.
