SOS

SOS by lpasarin.
See large on black

I've been organizing my life and my projects lately. A bit overworked (ok... a great deal overworked) I've been neglecting people and projects that are both important and important to me. Took a nap mid-day Sunday after several hours of photo editing. It was tough to avoid it as the weather encouraged a cat nap. I took off my necklace and work up to the sun going down. I turned over (my bed is placed in a nook next to my row of windows) and saw this. I grabbed my camera and snapped a few shots.

I'm editing (more important images) again today and wanted to take a short break. Here's a quick edit from the images I shot Sunday. More images to come--whenEVER I get another moment to myself.

Still on the fence about going out tonight. I haven't been to WNSC in nearly two months, but I have so much to finish. I'm feeling like a horrible friend lately. I've been trying to make coffee/brunch dates with people, but everyone's just as busy as I am. NYC life for the 20-something is always bustling. "Finding the time" really takes commitment. I just wish there was a way to see people without always having to show up to gigs or parties. They're great events, but the conversation is very different. When I ask people how they're doing I genuinely care, but those engagements don't call for heart-to-hearts. "Fine" replaces truth and chit-chat provides an excuse to avoid it.

Oh Vin, thank you! I'm actually doing well (sending you an e-mail soon). The last part of this write-up isn't so much about my saying "fine" as it is hearing it come from other people. I think everything happens for a reason. I've been drafting a book the last two months whenever I get a free moment which is why I'm never around. Just trying to find a balance between social and workaholic since I tend to fall into the latter category.

thanks! I like when my photos get out there, but hate when they're not linked back. Although I've had many a discussion about this with colleagues. You can't really track it and I can't QUITE search for it to see where it's being used. I don't care so much how it's used, just that someone doesn't take the credit (which is a big pain in the rear).
