Burning Man is yearly gathering of about 50,000 people, many from the San Francisco Bay Area, celebrating life, passion and art during one week in a desolated desert in Nevada.
The event takes place each last week of august in an immense dry lakebed called Black Rock Desert. A temporary city is built where about everything is permitted except violence, money and commerce.
The culmination of the event is the burning of a large human-shape figure in a giant bon-fire, hence the name (Burning Man). The city disappears completely at the end of the week, leaving no trace.

jalle says:Loupiote, I think I have written to you before but if not it is long over due. Your photographs of burning man magically transport me back to the spirit of the playa. Ranking and superlatives really are outside the spirit of the event, and peak experiences are where you find them but god man you convey the joy and sexiness of burning man like no one else. Your photos are little shell bursts of glory that fill my mind and soul when I let them flash in front of my eyes. Thank you Thank you Jack Allen www.psychictaxi.com |

heartsinbrc says:I have attended B.M. for the last 4 years but will have to miss this year. Looking at your pictures gave me chills. You have such a creative eye and truly work magic with your camera. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your art with me. I wish I could sit at your feet for one day and learn how you create such works. I know mostly its an artistic gift, but I would love to learn your technique, especially with the dusk photos. |
