perfect![]() ![]() The trick, for me, is not in taking a good picture of Steph. That is easy, anyone can do it. Point camera at steph. Press shutter. Repeat. Her face is....{shakes head}. I don't have the words. Radiant. That'll do.
And so, the trick is not to take a good shot of her. That I can do with my eyes closed. Adore that face of hers. Hell, she IS the cover of my book. That's how much I like that face of hers. So how do I top that? I can't. Not intentionally, anyway. I try not to go into a shoot thinking, "I'm gonna beat that shot. That one I took that day, this one's gonna be better." That way lies madness. So, I put her in front of the giant hedge that blocks my apartment from the street. I have her boyfriend, Andy, hold the reflector over her head, so as to protect her alabaster skin from the evil evil gas giant in the sky. And I try to take the best possible shot I can. But, for me, the best isn't just showing her as gorgeous. I try to show something beyond her devastating beauty. That's the trick. Because she's also a goddamned sweetheart. And this shot doesn't really get that part across. But I've got one that does. I'll save that for monday. CommentsI n d i g o F i t c h
