This was part of my lunch on Saturday.
I had a large tempura set with rice and miso soup ($6.50). My husband ordered teriyaki chicken udon($6.50), and my godfather I think ordered the same as mine. In the middle of the table we ordered this assorted sushi platter (large $27.00) to share... about 30-40 pieces in all!

My godfather had initially invited us for lunch buffet at Perth's Hyatt, but they only do buffets on Monday to Friday. So, we walked to Perth city centre in search of another smorgasbord at Miss Maud's, 20 minutes walk, pant-pant-pant... didnt realise it was such a long walk! Found out that we only had half and hour left to eat at Miss Maud's... so we walked further away to the nearest and cheapest Japanese in town: Taka's Kitchen.

We had dessert soon after =)

hmm..you remind me alot of sushi king in kl..i had it quite often during my trip..but never i leave without having it with wasabe sauce..had it too much until i can feel like a dragon(hot like fire running thru my nose) :)

yes we had wasabi on the side too. this restaurant keeps the prices down by making it self-service: beepers are issued to page you when you food is ready to be picked up; you take your own tea, soy sauce, wasabi, mayonnaise etc.

OMG! This picture is making me droooooooool! Since moving to Europe I haven't been able to indulge in nearly as much sushi... why on earth does it cost so much here? 14 Euro for 9 tiny pieces of maki?? Fortunately I can make my own vey well, but nothing as beautiful as this pic. WOW! =-)
