infinity flagstone CP

infinity flagstone CP by LorenzoMarchi.
This is the CP for my infinity flagstone, feel free to fold it!
Dedicated to Eric that has made me the happiest person in the world today purchasing me a pro account!! I'm in debt with you!! :P

blue=mountain, red=valley, PS it lacks the triangle twists on the back, this is only a 'waterbombed' version like Eric would like to call it :P

Interesting, I didn't know they folded that way. I continue to be impressed by this style of tessellation!

You are quite welcome, to not have you contribute tessellations would be a tragedy, so I made a small attempt to avoid it. Just post more pictures now, you have no excuses :)

Hi Lorenzo,

Thanks for the CP. I managed to fold it fine, but my twist folds weren't very neat.

it makes neat patterns- but it's only one way of many to fold flagstone tessellations. Peter (syngola) has done a lot of categorization using primarily triangle folds- which is closer to how Joel does it, although Joel has his own technique that is quite impressive to watch in action.

I had a very hard time trying to really understand what Joel was doing with his flagstone tessellations, it was only by chance that I came to understand that in some ways they are iso-area type folds that keep all the twists to one side. That just touches on the stuff he does- because of course it gets way more complicated than that- but it's quite intriguing.

I think there's more to the waterbomb/molecule concept, which you have been working on- I look forward to having more opportunities to talk with you about your work!
