      I loved Kyiv. It's beautiful in the summer.

      It is a great city, I agree. I wish I knew Ukrainian (or at least Russian).

      They seem to speak predominately Russian in Kyiv. It's useful if you understand the Cyrillic alphabet - It's really easy to learn, and you'll be surprised how many words you'll understand when you can actually "read" them.
