Dear Polar Bear,

I have got it running on a laptop with mobile P4 1.8 GHz and a relatively weak graphic card (ATi 340M with shared memory) which is nowhere near to run the simplest Vista eye candies. And you know what? It works pleasantly smooth on my system. CPU is almost idle since the whole 3d desktop is processed by graphic card so you can really USE the computer.

Can't imagine how someone could compare this to the new Vista visual effects, that are requesting such a new system to run...

I like so much Beryl, i think it's a killer app for Linux.
More users should try it out!!

Same here, I run ubuntu (beryl svn on) with my 3.5 old pc. It runs so well. btw, I got vista and xp on that machine as well. (triple boot) Kinda impossible, but yeah, i made it.

I will probably give up with vista RTM after 30 days limit is over. I can certain hack so in order to keep it running, but I won't do that cuz vista is eating my CPU so much and it's unnecessary for me.
