Felix as RGB, Red, Green and Blue

Felix as RGB, Red, Green and Blue by Lorance.
The QuickTake 150, and probably the 100 also, has some interesting properties. It tends to over-saturate the Red channel and pulverize the Blue channel. The Green channel is quite smooth. Here are the RGB (Top left), Red (Top Right), Green (Bottom Left) and Blue (Bottom Right) channels of an image. No modification of any kind was done, this is straight out of the camera. The B&W parts comprising the different channels were made using the Channel Mixer. To see what it looks like after I modify it check this image.

UPDATE: As noted below, this is true of the 100 as well.

UPDATE AGAIN (2006-12-21): There is a great tutorial at The Luminous Landscape on removing color gremlins that makes pictures from the QuickTake look much better. I have made this part of my processing routine when working with pictures from the QuickTake.
