Circuit CIty Closing Sale; Harrisonburg, VA

lol who the hell buys candy at Circuit City?
Maybe people who bought movies at Circuit City buy the candy to snack on during the movie.
Circuit CIty Closing Sale; Harrisonburg, VA by Look In The Tunk.
I couldn't buy anything because the lines were so long.

It is probably good that you didn't buy anything. The liquidator ramps up the prices then discounts. Often you wind up paying more than before the liquidation. A lot of people get scammed into buying things that are 50% off an inflated price.

Yeah - liqudidation sales only really start when they say "Last X days" - and the best day is the second to last one. (I went to SB's the last day... wanted to go back and get more and they closed at 1)

This round of sales is being handled by GAG (Great American Group) rather than Gordon Bros, tho. The rules might be slightly different, but usually the first day's for suckers.

What really makes me sad? 34,000 more unemployed, and who the f*** in retail is actually hiring?

I considered buying some FireDog mint gum there today... :) I took a bunch of pictures on my cell, and only wound up with two boxes of CD media and an LCD cleaner -- all the 'lectronic stuff I actually need they didn't have or (in the case of the thumbdrives) were charging more than anyone else even with the discount.

It was worth the 10 minute wait in line. But would truly have been worth it had they had three more pricier (but fairly priced) items...

ps - What Happycube said about retail. It's really a downer when you've been out of work for half a year and you hear big layoffs like this are coming down, making your chances of finding work even slimmer.

I went to some sales and the prices were lackluster. 10% off video games and 30% off video game accessories. no thanks I will wait for the real deep discounts.

They constantly bother you asking if they can use your picture for some crappy article.

I haven't had a NowPublic reporter contact me in over a month in a half. Maybe they went under? Thankfully?
