7.29.11 - tomorrow is the big event. kudos to everyone involved - you all did a wonderful job...this is a GOOD thing. i have been saddened quite a few times during the planning of this event. comments that were made. assumptions. negativity. i understand it is something new. i understand it is something different - but we need new and different to grow. not only to bring others in, but for the people who already live here. we can't expect greenville to get better without a little change or something new added to the list. personally, i am so darn excited. our museum is seriously amazing for a town of our size. the lawn is gorgeous and perfect for this. i say bring it on. i only hope this sparks more ideas and more events in the future.

7.27.11 - waiting in line for an hour under a bridge, making sure hot tar from the overpass didn't fall on our heads, the 3 of us rationing what we had left from a pop so we didn't die of thirst, watching for sweet cars to pass, you pointing out the helicopter 20x, counting down the minutes for the gates to open, picking out a t-shirt at the merch table, spending $8 on a tiny pizza and $3 per water, watching Frightened Rabbit rock, biting your nails waiting for Death Cab to take the stage, you asking if the guitar tuning guy was Ben Gibbard, getting a perfect spot at the front of the gate, tapping your toe, looking back at us and smiling during your favorite songs, looking back at us on the 2 songs you didn't know and saying "I didn't know that one.", me giving you earmuffs when they decided to say the F word, me leaning forward during one of your favorite lyrics and singing it in your ear and you smirking (a thousand rainy days...), you telling us how much you enjoyed it. i had a blast buddy. can't wait to do it again.

7.26.11 - my beautiful boy. curly blonde. big blue eyes. a bike wound on your face. a little smirk...growing up so darn fast. as soon as i took this photo, i told you "oh my gosh, you look like your father!". :) i can see you becoming a man and yes...it freaks me out a bit. you are such a sweet kid with a good heart - i can only hope that grows with you as well.

7.25.11 - amazing music, great friends, some waffle house action, a hipster with baby :), coffee, all the gville people having seats next to each other...so much fun. such an awesome show. so glad we went.
