Slovak Catholic Church of the Transfiguration
I've driven past this church a hundred times on Woodbine Avenue, and I always meant to photograph it, but I never got around to it till today. I used the Nikon Coolpix 4300 I recently bought second-hand, tripod-mounted, and took a 5-shot AEB spread. I think Photomatix did a fine job of bringing out the detail.

this is a very amazing story. Built in the middle of a field by Stepen Roman in the 1970's, and then a special visit by Pope John for it's Papal consecration, the only consecrated church in North America
here is a quote
"Though the cathedral is still unfinished inside, it's the only church in North America consecrated by Pope John Paul II. The pontiff visited the site in '84, when it was little more than a few walls, and blessed the cornerstone. Since then it has sat, rather ingloriously, in the middle of 121 hectares of empty land, the remnants of Romandale Farm, where Roman once raised his prized Holsteins."
