The most time consuming step, you want multiple layers of paper-mâché for a smooth and strong surface and you have to wait for each layer to dry before applying the next layer.

this looks good, we built a 4' high 5' long elephant last year, using cardboard tubes and plastic bottles for the form. it is still standing strong in my UK coastal garden!
