Green Sock Knitalong

Green Sock Knitalong by LollyKnit.
Wanna join the fun?
This is informal knitting at its best. Grab the button and just knit green socks. No pressure, no sign ups, no deadlines.

This was the idea of Maritza and myself, spurred by a yarn swap we did in November. We are both using a luscious Tess Designer Yarns green yarn. Of course, all green yarns (and patterns) are welcome.

My socks are cast on, but I doubt there will be quick progress on these babies. Socks take me forever! Yet, that is the beauty of the knitalong - no deadlines. If I don't finish them this month, I will pick them up again in Project Spectrum's green months (April / May).

Yay I'm in! I'm almost half way through my first ever sock - a toe up style one in bluey, yellowy GREEN colours! So I think that counts! Wooohoo! I adore the button too, super cute, and any KAL in my fave colour of Green is hard to resist!

Wow. I started on my first-ever pair of socks two weeks ago...and they just happen to be green. Cherry Tree Hill -- loden, and I'm making the Embossed Leaves socks from Interweave/Winter 05. Glad to have some company on my virgin sock voyage!

Perfect! I have a hideous crochet project that I know I'll never finish, so this is my chance to recycle the yarn! I'm thinking some kind of lace pattern... Looooong socks...

I work at a yarn shop and we just got in a shipment of Crystal Palace Waikiki in some great spring colors- including green! I have one sock done so far. I am not happy with the elasticity of the yarn, so I am going to try using a combination of the Waikiki and Mango Moon's Capelli. See pictures on my website- lbullins.googlepages.com
