      lol! no, I didn't cut up a book - I printed the cover image (and spine and page edge image) on glossy photo paper and glued it to a cardboard contraption, which I attached to a hairband. Then a zillion bobby pins and the glue-like nature of the fake blood kept it very firmly in place all afternoon. :)
