I was lucky enough to go to Darwin's college at Cambridge (Christ's), and it was pointed out to us by the Senior Tutor that with D's magnificent beard, and John Milton's hip barnet, the college authorities had seen it all before and that if any of us wanted to be different, hair was not the way to go.

I've never been in to the Botany department although I'd like to have a look around. Which plants do you work with? I've recently been trying to learn grasses which I'm finding rather difficult!
