Roadmaster Jr
Take flight with this airborne assemblage. From it's 50's Roadmaster faux bicycle tank "fuselage", aluminum fan blade and retired bed frame "dual-lies" wheels this baby's ready to go. Aluminum flash light "power plant", drilled-out fan blades and an antique children's tin washing machine agitator serve as it's tail wing....into the wild blue yonder!

It's been a busy month...I'm currently installing another Lockwasher show at the beautiful new Geyser Arts Gallery, Geyserville, CA. Here's a shot showing the first floor showroom and a luxurious second floor suite which I was treated to for my "install" stay...Thanks Geyser Art!

Uploaded on Jun 20, 2009 swiss army type suite caseThe last 3 images I've posted, Mow 'n' Mulligan, Bio Fuel Pogo Shovel and Summer Fun Suitcase, where all fabricated for a sculpture competition coming up in July. I based my series on how to have fun while at the same time getting those pesky summer chores out of the way. To "complete" Mow I'd build a simple 24" x 24" podium painted white and cover the top with astro turf - Pogo Shovel would get like treatment with the exception of the top of the podium. I'd build up the top edge of the box 3" or so and fill it with a layer of wood chips enough to cover the fly-wheel base I bolted the shovel to. If selected, the sculptures will be on prominent display for 3 months. I find out if any of the pieces made the cut by July 7.
