These rocks on the shore of Lacanau are meant to prevent erosion. Very strong northbound currents generated by the dominant wind and the waves take the sand away, and make theses beaches an ever changing place.
The same erosion also attacks the shore line, which moves eastwards approximately 2 m per year.
This is a hdr from a single raw, used to produce three exposures : -2,0,+2. Single raw hdr is great for fast moving objects, like the sea. Now I can do this.
Also, there is a strong connection between the political impetus needed to face the global warming, and the one needed to eradicate weapons (not only mass destruction) from our planet.
