Angela - We always used to wonder why he looked so worried! We thought maybe it's because even at 7 days of age (which is how old he was in this picture) he realized that his parents were utterly and wholly clueless about babies...

Autum - he was no Bayleigh, but we thought he was the most gorgeous thing ever.

Lori - oh yeah. Total little old man. This was my absolute FAVORITE baby picture of him, and I carried it with me everywhere. People would ask to see pictures and I'd proudly pull this one out. I didn't realize it at the time, but people were really struggling to come up with things to say - this photo got a lot of comments like "Wow. Ummmm - that's some baby...." or "Well, take a look at that..." It wasn't until alter, when he'd reached the more traditionally cute newborn stage that I realized that this might not have been the cutest baby photo ever. But it's still one of my all-time favorites..

Phil - you've got a fantastic memory! It is indeed the original CrankyTurtle picture.... thank you again so much for coming and taking pictures that day. I swear if there were ever a fire here at the House That Crazy Built, I'd grab all my babies (human, canine, feline) and the photo album that has the pictures from that day....
