this is an amazing image, its so hard to believe that places like this exist in North America...we are deprived here on the east coast (i still appreciate the green mountains!)

Beautiful composition and lighting! What size wide angle lens was used for this?

Paul: It was taken with my 16-35, and I'm pretty sure I used the lens as wide as it would go. I stood right on the rim.

I am definitely going to have to go visit this place! I might be going to Pasco this weekend. I had NO idea this was anywhere in the vicinity!

Beautiful. Man, I need to get myself over there and see this place. Been wanting to shoot the Palouse area for a while now. I've used your shots of Rainier as guides on where to hike from time to time. Your shot of Edith creek is making me want to head up and give it a try. Went to Spray Falls/Spray Park yesterday and it was amazing.

"carved by a series of mammoth floods during the end of the last ice age more than 10,000 years ago." Stated as fact this is actually another one of the "theories" bad science promotes,
