I can tell the difference, now that the two companies have split: my most recent D*nskos make an unpleasant creaking sound. My older pairs, with the Sanita soles, do not.

I just bought my first pair of post-split D*nskos. They've widened the heel base, which works for me (fewer turned ankles), but I wish they weren't made in China. I've had friends whose post-split Ds didn't hold up as well as the old ones.
