Babar sitting in front of some cuttings from one of my favorite plants (Tradescantia pallida).

This was a completely accidental shot.

Older Vizslas can have almost ghostly faces. Like grizzled masks.

I love him impossibly much.

Notes to come (I hope).

One of the most interesting moments of last week’s TDC panel for me was the discussion of interpolation. At one point Shaw lamented families with “tons of interpolated weights.” Spiekermann (according to my notes*) responded cheerfully: “Who knows? Perhaps someone will buy it.” To which Shaw blurted out: “Tell them to learn typography!” (I love him.) The discussion then circled back to economics, culture, and pop. “We’ve become a pop industry,” Spiekermann noted.

Can gestures toward versatility sometimes limit us more than they make us flexible?
