Yes, but it's so expensive to develop, isn't it? Unless you know something I don't...

Mmm corn. Corn is one of my favorite foods ever, like, in the world. Grilled corn - - the smell of it, rather -- reminds me of when I was a little kid growing up in Mexico City. I may, in fact, have to eat some corn tonight for dinner.

Oh, and this is a great shot, Missy.

(I love corn.)

@lola: You're going to Nova Scotia! Awesome. And yes, I'll be in class and at the party. Wouldn't miss them for anything.

@dalton: $8.99 before taxes to get them processed at C-Lab on 36th & 8th (I was up in the area at B&H). Flatiron has been recommended by fast boy, though I do not know their fees. Do you have a favorite place?

@timmy: I'm with you on corn, especially on the cob.

I go to a little hole in the wall place on 5th Avenue and 14th Street. It's run by a very nice Chinese family and they develop color 35mm negatives for 2-3 dollars a roll. I think the last roll of slide film I went to have processed might have been 120, which would explain why it was so much more expensive.

I suppose I would go to a higher-end lab if I were working on a serious project, but they do great work for the casual roll of film, no doubt. Shveckle gets her film developed there too.

Mmm, a visit to the Red Hook food stalls sounds perfect right now.

Great to see you shooting slide film, too. I love Provia! When I lived in NY, I almost always used Flatiron. I'm sure it's not $5 anymore (oh, the days...), but bet it's a little less than C-Lab still. Not sure if they are using paper or plastic mounts these days, but I actually prefer to have the film left unmounted, since it's easier to store that way.
