LIsa! This is hilarious. Three things (at least)! 1. Are you sure that her head is facing the right direction in the picture on the right?, 2. Good to see that the precious little baby is not coming out breach! an 3. This teaches kids that mommy has to have plastic surgery to get the baby out! LOL!

I didn't get the photos of Barbie's parents that came in this set. Mom wears flats (unlike Barbie who sports high heels during childbirth) and has a cute short hairdo, Dad is almost as buff as Ken, but has the slightest hint of love handles. Hilarious.

And Poor Ken. He's so marginalized. He never gets a job or a family. He's just there to love on Barbie.

The green thing was my fleecy glove. I took these photos by stealth, while everyone was busily putting on their coats. Nobody in the family had the same opinions on the toy as I, so I took this picture when nobody was paying attention.

Yeah...Babies come out with clothes on. Who knew? I'm clearly pretty backwards when it comes to the finer details of human reproduction.

So you have a green suit that you put on and it makes you invisible. Sort of like a Harry Potter invisible cape thing. I find that to be very interesting. I can see how this would be of concern to your family - you know if you go out in the stealth suit and try to cross the street, but the cars don’t see you because you are invisible.

Question: Since the baby is MADE IN CHINA does it get automatic Chinese citizenship?

dr snitch: The magnetic belly comment can be misunderstood. It depends on the polarity, you know what you want to attract or repel - the minus and plus thing. What do you want to attract to your belly (or is it repel from) and is that not a good question to ask?

I think they did a documentary on this a while ago - it was called the X-Files or something like that. Were you involved with that?

I always wondered how they did the belly thing and now the mystery is solved!! yayee! I also wondered why there were no blonde barbies that got pregnant and got a very long explanation...
Barbie isn't married but this redhead one is! (her name is Midge!)
a long time ago in the 60s Midge married Allan and dissapeared then in the early 00s she reappeared and was pregnant after 30 years of marriage!! Mattel is so weird, the whole Midge dissapearance sounds like another X-file!

I used to work in an early childhood center and the children were talking about wanting to be just like Barbie, even the pregnant one!!! So I went out to stores like a madwoman to see what this barbie looked like, but couldn't find it anywhere...UNTIL... I went to a Doll show, and there she was this precious PREGNANT Barbie!! It was pulled from Walmart the lady said, and she charged me 15.00 bucks for this monstrocity!! lol..I still have her in the box and never took it out!! I think its sick!! I was lmoa when someone said the belly is magnetic and can be taken off and on, and that she has a wedding ring permanently painted on her finger!! OMG, What a message Barbie is sending to the little girls of today!! SICK!!! BTW.. Does anyone know if this doll is worth money or will be in the future???? lol
