Cecil's Growing Up

When I uploaded this photo, it struck me how Cecil is losing his kitten-ness! He's still quite small for his age, but doesn't he just look more grown-up in this shot? He has another vet appointment tomorrow to determine if he needs more surgery. For his story check out Cecil's blog here:

Oh, I would very much like to meet this baby. Is he at the shelter finally? Or are there more operations?

I am so happy you do this. Flickr wouldn't be the same without the barc fuzzies.

Cecil has a vet appt. tonight. Probably will have to have more surgery, but not as extensive as the first procedure. I want to get him to the Cat Loft ASAP. He needs to get some lovin' from all you great BARC volunteers! He's very "mouthy" like a younger kitten and needs to learn that those playful nips HURT!

Thanks so much! I love taking the pictures and flickr has been awesome in getting traffic to the website and blog.

Does electrolysis not work for this condition??? I know I wouldn't want an electrically charged probe near a conscious cat's eyes, but is it not a less painful , less invasive procedure???

I suppose if it were just the hairs growing in his eyes, an "electrolysis" procedure might be enough. Cecil had no eyelids at all on the outside corners of his eyes. The vet had to "build" eyelids. He has healed beautifully without complications and now she will go back and "freeze" the few hairs that are still rubbing, and yes he will be anesthetized!
