Situated in Lalitpur, Nepal, Patan Durbar Square is one of three squares made up of temples and palaces by three kings of the Malla period of Nepal. The UNESCO site, which was largely damaged and rebuilt after the earthquake of 1936 stands proud in the middle of a thriving and busy city representing traditional Newari culture.
