As part of SIPF 2010 satellite event, the SINGAPORE NIGHT HUNT is the first ever night-time photo marathon competition to be held in Singapore! This 8-hour photography challenge will kick start at 10pm from City Square Mall. Participants can venture to anywhere in Singapore to complete their given themes, as long as they are back at City Square Mall within the stipulated time. Using your creativity and wits, the challenge is to capture suitable images with the available light sources you can find. Attractive cash rewards and prizes to be won!

Date: 6 November 2010, Saturday (Deepavali Weekend)
Time: 8pm – 6am (following morning)
Venue: City Square Mall
Fees: $20 per person

The hunt questions will be released on 6 Nov, 9.30pm.
Registered Participants to report at 8pm onwards to pick up instruction list.
Kick off from City Square Mall.
Ends off at 2902 Gallery, OldSchool @ Mount Sophia.

1st - Cash $500 + Canon EOS 550D Kit I (EFS 18-55mm) worth $1,349
2nd - Cash $300 + Canon PowerShot G12 worth $849

The ASIAN MOSAICS Travel Photography Competition & Exhibition offers a prominent platform for your travel photography, allowing your unique personality to shine through your photographs. Let your stunning images rekindle memories on the road and inspire others to walk the same paths!

A fringe event of the 2nd Singapore International Photography Festival, entries for ASIAN MOSAICS Travel Photography Competition will be judged by a panel of esteemed photography professionals and will stand to win very attractive prizes! The selected finalist works will then be exhibited at City Square Mall, Singapore, and put up for public voting from 29 Oct to 7 Nov 2010 for yet another chance to win the People's Choice Award. The winners of the competition will be announced on 13 Nov 2010 at the SIPF Closing Ceremony.

The submission of works is open from 10 Aug to 30 Sept 2010. Each photographer can submit up to 10 images at an entry fee of SGD$5.00 per image. Shortlisted finalist photographers will be notified by 3 Oct 2010.

The Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF) is a worldwide biennial gathering of minds commonly pursuing the advancement and appreciation of photography.

As the largest international photo festival held in Southeast Asia, this biennial festival strives to be the much needed platform for critical thought and academic discussion on photography in the region. Its mission is to discover, nurture and propel new Southeast Asian talents to prominence and onto the international stage. On top of that, SIPF also aim to promote audience development through a slew of outreach programmes that will take photography to the man on-the-street.

SIPF 2010's programmes and exhibitions will stretch over 30 days between 7 October - 28 November 2010. Following its successful inaugural run in 2008, SIPF continues to broaden the public appreciation for photography with free public talks, seminar, forum and more.

The 2nd Open Call Submission has attracted a total of 4148 submissions from 46 countries worldwide. Works from 48 emerging photographers of 23 different nationalities have been carefully selected by our 4 SIPF curators to be featured in the Open Call Showcase exhibitions, which will span across 7 venues spread within the civic district of Singapore.
