Every once in a while I want myself to be in focus in my photos. Most of the time I capture my kid, the nature surrounding us or some place or event we goes to. But sometimes I just want to capture me. Only thing is, I don’t like my picture taken. I don’t like how I look on photos. At least not at the moment. But I want to be in on the story, I want to be present, to be remembered. And i don’t mind sharing the focus with my camera. The two of us is thigh most of the days anyway.
So this is what I do. I find a mirror. Place the camera in front of me and release the shutter. Sometimes the camera is in focus, sometimes my face. Sometimes I even wear my out of fashion glasses, just because I forgot to take them off. Then I relay on Photoshop Elements to make the horrible bathroom light beautiful and warm.
