Day 52: Last Day of Freedom
[08/28/2011] Today was my last day of freedom. I woke up at 4AM, in a bit of panic, stomach churning. This was possibly from last night's picnic food, or the 6 glasses of wine I drank, but definitely at least a little bit from my internal panic over all the things that I needed to get done before school starts tomorrow.
I made it back to sleep, but was up before 7:30AM, deep cleaning the house for hours, and trying to get myself in an appropriate mental state for school tomorrow. Unfortunately, I never approached the mental state I needed, but I did managed to get the cat hair off our living room armchair after 30 minutes of vacuuming.
After an afternoon of making lists and worrying about school, I made my way across town to Reed for the non-traditional students happy hour. I had drinks afterward with two nontrad friends, and was a little tipsy when I went grocery shopping for prepared foods to stock in my locker at Reed. Ah, well.
