My first robot!

I finally found a copy of Jessica Hutchison’s “Unusual Toys for You to Knit and Enjoy” and the robot you see here is my first creation.

There were a couple areas where I had trouble, mainly the intarsia and learning the long-tail method of casting on. The latter I mastered but the intarsia is something I need to work on. It gives me a good excuse to keep making robots!

Ahhh, the infamous first issue of Craft. Funny enough, the robot pattern on the cover is not in the issue. I actually subscribed to the magazine for that very pattern and complained very loudly to everyone at Craft when I received my first issue only to discover the pattern wasn't included. The actually pattern is from a book called "Unusual Toys for You to Knit and Enjoy" and you can often find it on ebay. Good luck!
