Rochester Cathedral![]() I shot this Superia 800 basically as a last resort thing. I'm not sure why but I had it utterly ingrained (pun intended) that it would be quite useles with too much grain to be worthwhile. I'm glad I was wrong, This stuff rocks! What would be interesting is to know for sure what this was shot at as I don't really make exposure notes for neg film or shots that are lit trickily. I do remember shooting quite a few in the f/2 - f/2.8 range (it was more important to have a higher shutter speed for a steady pic than a photo with depth that was blurred from shooting at a slow shutter speed!) -- either way, this was shot fairly wide open on the Ultron -- which even though it's not a Leica lens, is one heck of a good chunk of glass.
Rochester Cathedral, Kent, England. View On Black This is part of the wider set of about 500 photos from my 160 mile North Downs Way jaunt in June 2009 - a fantastic walking holiday out in the mostly wilds of Surrey and Kent... Leica M2, Voigtlander Ultron 35mm, Fuji Superia 800 Xtra - a superb high speed colour negative film CommentsVicky Lamburn

FWIW having done a lot of walking myself I have found photographing the places & completing each days walk within a timescale is impossible. I wish I had taken a note pad out with me for all the times I have thought I shall have to return here with a decent camera, many of which of course I have forgotten grrrrr.
