South Downs Way - Tuesday - Chanctonbury Ring

South Downs Way - Tuesday - Chanctonbury Ring by Vicky Lamburn.
The view on descending down Kithurst Hill and in the distance is Chanctonbury Ring, a long hard trying climb when going west to east.

In the valley is Washington.

The fields were very ripe at this time of year.

July 2008. (Slightly toned this one as it worked nicely)

Thanks both of you :) This was a surprise to see come off the roll, some of the earlier shots were not quite as punchy and I was beginning to think I had mucked up my development. It so turns out I forgot that the Tuesday started off as a very grey day but slowly perked up again.

Just a very nice landscape with good tones and a nice composition.

Also that 'shot-on-film' look.

Mike -- thanks!

Sfb -- Thanks, it's hanging on my wall with pride printed at 14x11! As for the shot on film look, well it's one of those reasons I don't go a bundle on digital for what I do, don't get me wrong, digital is absolutely brilliant. But not for me, I'm with flotsam, grain -- it's meant to be there :)

Liking the toning on this one, and the fact you also use an EOS-3. :-)

Thanks :) I made a large print of this last week, it's definitely one of my favourite photos! The EOS 3 is a superb camera, just using the Leica M2 far more now since I got it.

Yep, I've found the EOS 3 to be bombproof – which helps when you sling it into a rucksack. :-)
