Golden Wheat Carrot Cake

I made this carrot cake on the first fast of Ramadan.
Mom said it's Ramadan you know, we does want something sweet.
So, without telling her, when she was at work I took this recipe from Rose Levy Beranbaum's The Cake Bible and instead of making "Golden Wheat Carrot Ring", I made a cake, with three layers...
She came home after I mangled one layer while taking it out of the pan (NEVER MISUNDERSTAND INSTRUCTIONS AND NOT PAPER YOUR PAN!) and made the cream cheese frosting for me (because I didn't feel up to making my first ever buttercream - cream cheese buttercream from RLB when fasting).

Anywayz. It was good. I shared a slice with mom to break fast (she also had dates, we had water, tea and...).
