Charlie Duke on the Moon, April 21, 1972
Here's a panorama from the Apollo 16 mission, showing Charlie Duke on the lunar surface on April 21, 1972, during the first EVA of the mission. The lunar rover (LRV) is on the far side of Plum Crater.
The image was made from two separate pan shots stitched together in Photoshop, and then some level adjustments made for lighting effect. I removed the etched crosshairs in the sky region as well.
Photos taken by John Young. (NASA) Edited by J. Major.
