Violence

A fight that I photographed from the 'inside.'

More than twenty people were involved and as it escalated I feared that I may be shooting a double homicide.

I don't ever want to see anything like this again.

Quite the series Brother. Man, you were on it big time. When you are on the streets of Chicago....it's only a matter of time that you will either be a witness, a victim, and hopefully not an offender...........

Sound of death? Did you witness two murders? What did they die from? I'm only seeing a little bit of blood but two guys down.

This is also photographie. What do you think before -, while and after the fight with your camera ? The seconds before you think like a photographer. The seconds after you think on the victims. Your shaking but you have the pictures as proof as a photohero .....
Generally they have no reason for their violence.
      Just fun ,....you know ?
      Pure Darwinisme
      The biggest monkey wins.
Do you know what a warphotographer feels ?
As you say " death " violence is very close and those sounds of it is indeed horrible.
The sound of hate, fightinstinct, pleasure to wound someone else
      You didn't nothing wrong.
It was your photographic instinct that says: " do it "
Thats the quality of a photographer.

I don't have the guts and nerves to something to do like you.
I hate the violence on street.

“Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.”

Since it already happened, looking back I hope they're fighting for something greater than themselves.

      Senseless!

what a crazy, insane adrenoline rush that must have been...amazing what too much alcohol (and likely some drugs) will do to mess with someone's mind--enough to push him over the edge to fight when under other circumstances, he would have walked away. great street series. glad I don't live it.

As long as no innocents are hurt I'd let all the boozers bury each other -- every day of the week.

Smashing series of shots though. Really.
