Tutorial #1 Bokeh Shapes: Supplies

you will need:

- a lens with a large aperture

(Such as f/1.8 or even larger. It needs to be larger than the shape cutout. You should be able to get away with using the smaller apertures found on a kit lens, but your shape cutout will also need to be smaller, but why do that? Just get a 50mm prime lens...they're as cheap as $100...you're missing out.)

- a sheet or two of black construction paper

- a sharp cutting tool such as an exacto knife

- a pencil

- hole punchers that make different fun shapes (optional)

- tape or some other form of adhesive appropriate for use on paper...(not pictured).

- some sort of measuring tool (optional, not pictured)
