The Historic Columbia River Highway is beautiful during any season, but it really shines during autumn. Other examples can be seen here and here . Plus, vehicular traffic is relatively light and slow-moving, which allows photographers to take shots like this without much danger of being squashed like a bug.

I've driven this hwy in the summer and kept thinking "I bet this is gorgeous in the fall" I was right! Beautiful picture!
