      It's not a HDR, just one scan from a color slide. I worked with layer masks of gamma correction to bring out the details in the dark parts. I prefer "manual" correction to the sometimes plastic looking automated HDR stuff. I did architecture shots long before digital was available - it is a matter of waiting for the right light and using a good spot meter. But with digital retouching and a good scanner, it's amazing on how much detail one can get out of slides.

      Ha! I see that I was here before (39 months ago) and said "I must go there someday." Well, I made it to Noto (Spring of 2009). I have not seen the town at night though, but I hope to make it back there in 2012.

      Great you made it to Sicily/Noto. I didn't stay there over night, but took a late bus back to Siracuse, where I had accomodation. I too hope to make it back to Sicily in then not so far future - I travelled it a lot when I was young(er).
