Mazury summer clouds

Shortly before the Krutynia river finally flows into the Beldany lake, it creates several smaller lakes. These clouds look great, but later showered us pretty well!

I shot this picture on 35 mm Fujichrome Provia 100F slide film with a Cosina/Voitlander Bessa camera. The 15 mm Cosina lens IS pretty sharp. If possible, I use a tripod, but not on a canoe - some other pictures taken on that occasion were slightly blurred on close inspection. Scanning was done with the Nikon Super Coolscan 5000 ED at the highest resolution.

Now the digital part. The scanned image was color, contrast and gamma adjusted. I also adjusted the light falloff to the corners - one of the problems with the wideangle Voigtlander lens.

Next step was getting rid of eccess noise, selectively using Neat Image wherever it was necessary. Finally, some general slight sharpening of the whole picture, and then some more sharpening after downsizing the large picture file to an uploadable size.

Some process, but sure worth it!
