Queen Sophia of Greece was actually the grandaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom since she was the daughter of her oldest daughter, Princess Victoria, and Friedrich the III, the German Emperor and King of Prussia. She was born in Germany in 1870 and died in Germany in 1932 from cancer. More information can be found here:
