Viscount Haldane and General Townsley are leaving the old Hayes Gym.
However it did not gain the name "Hayes Gym" until named in honor of Captain Thomas Jay Hayes, IV; killed in action 17 April, 1968.

The Hayes Gym, built in 1910 is still (2009) largely intact and now a part of the larger Arvin facility.
