This is likely in or around Perth Amboy, New Jersey. If you go to the LOC website, you can get a hi-res version of the pic that allows a closer look at some of the details otherwise invisible on Flickr. There's a poster on the left advertising "PERTH AMBOY'S BIG INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION". On the right, an umbrella with an advertisement for "J. SLOBODIEN & BRO." under a picture of a shoe; this 1966 New York Times obit for a Leo Slobodien describes "Slobodien Shoes" as "a retail chain in the Perth Amboy-New Brunswick area."

Thank you, but I'm not content to rest on my laurels--I'd like to know where in Perth Amboy this was (or is)!

Here is article on TR and the Bull Moose party. He helped split the Republican party and thus helped Wilson get elected President.

4 cents for a "hot sausage" and 2 cents for a "pitcher lemonade" - wonder if those were cheap prices at the time?
