Looking from the back of the George Wythe home towards the house. "This mid-eighteenth century building was the home of George Wythe, tutor and friend of Thomas Jefferson. Wythe was the first professor of law at an American College (William and Mary) and first Virginian signor of the Declaration of Independence. Washington used the house as his headquarters in 1781 before the seige of Yorktown. Five major outbuildings and garden plan reflect a plantation layout. Furnishings are in the manner of a well-to-do eighteenth century Virginian household."

This is the Governor's Palace in Williamsburg, VA around 9 pm last night. Nikkor 24-70 f2.8G lens (Nikon D300) at 24mm, f4, 20 secs, ISO200. Almost full moon last night. Manual focus.

The tree and hearth decorated with lights, the packages are all wrapped, and the greyhound is sleeping on the bed. Oh yes, and the fire in the fireplace.

The annual photo of the home that puts on this fantastic display of lights each year. Some year it would be nice to attempt this shot with snow on the ground.

The New York monument painted by light (using a Mag light) with the luminaries. Chilly night but still worth being out there to see this amazing sight. Better viewed in the light box.
