Framing a Barn

¤ On Black ¤

Another framing of the South Moulton Barn on Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA. My reward for waking up early enough to drive from Jackson to get to the park before sunrise. (:

This is probably one of my favorite compositions on this barn. If I could move trees, I would have stood the nearest tree up a bit (to remove the spot of grass in the corner), and I would have moved the row of trees behind the barn to the left a tad. (:

PS, thanks for the 5th A+++ on my "Mystery" photo. I was saddened to read about all the stealing going on. I have always posted only the smaller versions, and don't allow downloads, but now I have removed blogging, as well, and blocked the cartoon guy.

Thanks, Mark! There are a lot of framings for this barn (and its companion to the north), but I have never seen this one framed between trees. I think I took all the other "done" shots, but I'm not sure that's it's possible to shoot this barn without overlapping a previous composition

Maureen, I know how you feel. I have been through and to the Rockies a few times, but only through the Sierras on one trip, and the Tetons only once... They're beautiful, and I must go back some time. (:
