Mechanically perfect. Standard in-and-out-of-bag scuffs on hood. One small scuff on the distance scale--it doesn't even show up in the pictures below. UU01xx date code.

Strobist: 550EX at 1/4 through an umbrella, high to the right. Crumpled up white paper to the left as a reflector. Cactus triggers.

Warm Horizons

Sunrise over Yellowstone Lake in Yellowstone National Park. It was 24°F, I was wearing sandals, and had just driven for about 13 hours by this point.

The horizon began glowing this very intense yellow-ish color, and it diminished rather abruptly into twilight blue. After looking for a place to capture that effect, and failing, I decided to keep driving, watching the sunrise, and finally pulling a rather high-speed U-turn into a turn-off to shoot sunrise at the scene portrayed here.

The colors and silhouettes really pop on black:

Strake Vortices

A change of pace: landscapes move rather slow, but the Blue Angels, they can really cook.

This was the biggest 'keeper' for me from the Fargo AirSho that took place in August. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do!

That One Barn

The iconic South Moulton Barn, found on Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA. This is a slightly different perspective than what most folks (including the ones that were there the morning this was shot) shoot. For those familiar with the area--I just followed the the little trench that runs East-West further West, then took a few paces towards the barn.
