Haven't used Flickr in almost a year - wow. Forgot about a lot of the work posted on here, too.

so it's been over 2 months since I last posted to Flickr and there are a lot of reasons behind that...but mainly being that I moved to Baltimore :) I am absolutely happy here in every sense of the word and MICA is everything I could've hoped it would be and more.

However, I will not be posting regularly again because in the time I've spent away from Flickr, I've realized that a lot of what goes on here isn't for me any more. I'm going to school to learn to be a professional artist and educator - I'm realizing more and more that I don't need to be posting my work in an online forum, waiting for comments and compliments. It's time for me to move away from this. I love you all so much, every single wonderful person that I've met through this website. The Flickr community is truly a unique one - it's just time for me to move on and continue to grow elsewhere. :)

yesterday (the 18th) was my birthday - I turned eighteen.
my friends took me to Fort Lauderdale (city near Miami for all you non-Floridians :) and threw me a surprise dinner partyish thing.
I am constantly being reminded how truly lucky I am to be surrounded with good people.
as much as I'll miss my life here...I'm excited about everything else that lies ahead. 35 days until I move to Baltimore!
