It's very pretty. Individually, each bird is captured in a beautiful wing-spread moment, with good tones. But together the composition lacks luster, except as 'leader and follower'. And the leader is focused on the camera, so it's not free enough.

Sofilou, yours is very nice except for the tight crop and muddy water.

Them are birds. Wouldn't it be fantastic if they were freakkin' all over the place all of the frekkin' time?

the composition works, contrast doesnt and these are not the most inspiring birds around

Flickzophrenic.

It's an artic turn...

there is no bird called a 'common gull' - Herrring Gulls are Huge, yellow Beak, Sea Gulls are smaller with a hooked bill.

Terns, have a black ring across the back of their head and are often confused with a gull because these are what people expect to see at the seaside!!

but as you say, - and as my coments were started - one good Tern deserves another:)

thanks for voting all.

praps one more for your pleasure tomorrow!! ??

It's 100% not an arctic tern.
It's an immature black headed gull, or in winter plumage.
There is a common gull, and these are pretty common too.

Hey! I live on a gannet colony surrounded by guano!

I believe I am correct, but I am sure you could try your luck in a bird group.

I bet you a saveme that they are not arctic terns.
